Global Maktab Programs

Support over 100 students as they study the Quran and basic Islamic Sciences.

Sometimes all it takes is funding to pay teachers a sustainable wage and repair torn-down facilities into spaces where teachers and students alike can thrive.

Our Progress

  • We have raised the funds needed to reconstruct an old maktab building.

    We have raised over 15k+ towards the reconstruction of an old mud-made maktab building that had fallen into disrepair in the Chilipa district of Malawi.


  • We’ve sponsored a teacher and funded the upkeep of a maktab program in Sierra Leone.

    In response to a growing demand for afterschool Islamic programs in the area, we’ve secured a location for a maktab, covered administrative costs, utilities, teacher salaries as well as facilitated administrative training for the maktab’s leadership team. The maktab now serves over 40 students.

  • What's Next?

    We plan to continue supporting the maktab as they continue to enroll new students. We also are in conversations to support the reconstruction of a Masjid in Malawi adjacent to the Maktab to increase our capacity to host students in the area.
