Sierra Leone is a country in West Africa that is home to about 7 million people. Its health system is woefully inadequate.

Brighter Futures Foundation is working with Ihsan foundation to develop Ihsan General Hospital on 10 acres of land in Calabatown, Sierra Leone.

Background

 

Currently, in Sierra Leone, there are no public or affordable dialysis, MRI and CT Scan facilities in the entire country.
There are no neurosurgeons or dermatologists.
There are only two dentists

 

Project Details

 

Brighter Futures Foundation is working with Ihsan foundation to develop Ihsan General Hospital on 10 acres of land in Calabatown, Sierra Leone. The state-of-the-art General Hospital can serve over 10,000 urban and rural dwellers who are predominantly low-income.

 

Our Actions

 

In our first phase, we project to serve up to 600 people a month with a significant portion of our patients coming from other locales due to our location and accessibility.
