Sponsor the living costs, food, and educational tuition for orphans in Zambia!

Could you imagine what growing up would have been like without your parents? That troubling thought is a stark reality for the 26 boys at the Noor House Orphanage in Zambia.

Yet, despite their situation, orphans at the Noor House, like Hamza and Uthman, are often overlooked by our Ummah. So, this Ramadan, Brighter Futures Foundation is partnering with Noor House to give all of our supporters the chance to support the 26 orphans who are seeking secular and Islamic education in Lusaka, Zambia. This includes boys and girls who are completing their hifz (memorization) of the Quran.

Your donations will go towards providing these orphans with a place to stay, warm meals, and tuition. Additionally, Noor House will provide uniforms, shoes, and medical care for its students.

With only a few days of Ramadan left, make this month your best Ramadan yet. Make a commitment to following the path of the Prophet ﷺ and earn Allah's ﷻ mercy and pleasure by sacrificing your wealth for this cause. Give, knowing your wealth will only be multiplied in this world, and manifest as countless rewards in the hereafter.

Project Brief

The Orphan Sponsorship initiative at Brighter Futures Foundation focuses on the holistic development of 26 boys at the Noor House Orphanage in Lusaka, Zambia. These boys, coming from diverse and challenging backgrounds including refugees and those with incapacitated parents, receive both secular and Islamic education under this program. The sponsorship aims to cover their tuition and foster their growth in a nurturing environment.

Join us in shaping brighter futures for these young minds at Noor House. Your donation can light up paths for these deserving boys, offering them the education and care they need to thrive.

This is a Zakat eligible program. In the Orphan Sponsorship program, Zakat may be given to and tamlīk may occur:

  • Directly with the orphan

  • To an extended family member (an uncle, grandparent, etc.)

  • To a guardian who acts as a wakīl (representative/agent) for the orphan.

    • Based on the situation of the orphan - for instance, if they are young, lack any extended family members, family members have difficult situations, etc. - the family members enrolling the child in Noor House will sometimes make one of the members of the orphanage their wakīl and guardian. In this case, tamlīk will occur with the wakīl of the orphan
